সালাফদের ব্যাপারে আমরা বিস্ময়কর কিছু জিনিস দেখি। তাদের মাঝে এমন অনেকে ছিল, যদি তাদের বলা হতো -- আগামীকাল আপনি মৃত্যুবরণ করবেন, তারপরেও তাদের বিশেষ ভাবে অতিরিক্ত ইবাদত করার মত সময় পাওয়া যেতো না, কারণ তাদের দৈনন্দিন জীবনেই অনেক বেশি ইবাদাত করতেন। তাদের প্রাত্যহিক জীবনটাই ছিল এমন যেন তারা সেদিনই অথবা তার পরদিনই মৃত্যুবরণ করবেন।

আপনি হয়তো বলতে পারেন -- আমরা তো তাদের মত হতে পারবো না। আল্লাহর কসম, এটা সম্ভব। সাহাবারা কোন ওয়াহী পাননি, আমরাও পাই না। যারা ওয়াহী পেতেন, তাদের তাবীঈরাও দেখেননি, আমরাও দেখিনা।

কিন্তু তাদের দৃঢ় সংকল্প ছিলো, আমাদের নেই -- এটাই সমস্যা। এটা কঠিন, কিন্তু অসম্ভব না। আমরা বড় বড় উদাহরণগুলো দিই যাতে অন্তত ছোটো একটি অংশ করতে পারি। তাহলে আমরা সকল বাধা অতিক্রম করে সফলকাম হতে পারবো -- জাহান্নাম থেকে মুক্তি আর জান্নাতে দাখিল হবো।
